Watch Andrew Pinckney's monster home run to give Alabama baseball lead over Troy

Alabama baseball was tied with Troy in the top of the sixth inning in the winner bracket matchup of the Tuscaloosa Regional on Saturday.

That was until Andrew Pinckney destroyed a ball and sent it over the scoreboard in left field. The ESPN broadcast showed the ball traveled 425 feet, easily clearing the wall 360 feet from home plate. The hit gave the Crimson Tide a 7-6 lead that it took into the middle part of the sixth.

Pinckney's shot was a no-doubter, with the left fielder barely moving once the ball was hit.

It is the 17th home run of the season for the junior right fielder, who is hitting .347. Pinckney has a slugging percentage of .644, good for second in the starting lineup. Pinckney has been a force in right field for the Crimson Tide and has shown off his arm strength while throwing out runners.

It was his first hit of the weekend, with two walks earlier vs. Troy. He almost threw a runner out at home in the bottom of the inning on a one-hopper from middle of right field.
