Warriors’ Steph Curry, Draymond Green, Steve Kerr and more attend Dodgers vs. Giants playoff game five

Before the Golden State Warriors open the regular on Oct. 19 against the Los Angeles Lakers, all eyes were on the San Francisco Giants in the Bay Area.

After winning a red-hot 107 games in the regular season, Gabe Kapler’s Giants met the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Division Series. With each team taking two games, the bitter rivals were forced to meet in a win or go home game five on Tuesday in San Francisco.

With one of the biggest games in the history of the rivalry on the docket, Giants fans packed Oracle Park in the city. Some of the fans in the ballpark included members of the Warriors.

Prior to the game, it looks like many members of the team were cruising on a boat over the bay to support the Giants. While wearing his signature sailing hat, Klay Thompson was on the boat with Curry, Green, Jonathan Kuminga and pieces of the coaching staff.

Despite the Warriors being at the ballpark, they couldn’t bring any luck to the home team. After answering back with a Darin Ruf solo home run, the Giants entered the late innings with the game tied at one.

In the top of the ninth inning, Dodgers’ first baseman Cody Bellinger knocked in Justin Turner to break the tie and give Los Angeles the lead by a run. With only three outs to spare, the Giants couldn’t keep up with Max Scherzer in the bottom half of the final frame.

With one runner on base, the game ended on a controversial check-swing strike by Wilmer Flores. First-base umpire Gabe Morales called Flores swinging on the check, ending the game on strike three.

The Dodgers will now advance to meet the Atlanta Braves in the National League Championship Series.
