Carlsbad sophomore's hot bat against Hobbs earns her Prep Hero of the Week Award
A hot bat by Carlsbad Cavegirl softball player Faith Rivera earned her Carlsbad Current-Argus Prep Hero of the Week honors.
She won the award with 32% of the more than 125,000 votes cast. In the second game of a doubleheader last week against Hobbs she had two hits, two runs batted in and scored a run.

For the season the sophomore is hitting .397 with one home run and 17 runs batted in.
Teammate Aubrey Hernandez finished second with 28% of the votes cast.
