Ashley's Vayda Lequire named Wilmington-area fan's choice midseason softball player of the year
Bringing in more than 28% of the fan vote, Ashley softball's Vayda Lequire is the Wilmington-area fan's choice midseason player of the year.
The Screaming Eagles sophomore catcher is batting a team-best .388 this spring and has scored 15 runs while logging six doubles and eight stolen bases. Lequire was also selected, by fans, as the preseason player of the year.
