CL's Hodson, Theriot voted Barker Honda Athletes of the Week in Houma- and Thibodaux-area
The fans have voted for the final time in the 2023-24 high school sports season. This week's Barker Honda Athletes of the Week in Houma- and Thibodaux-area high school sports are Sammy Hodson and Emma Theriot, both of Central Lafourche track and field
Hodson led CL to a state title in the 4x800. He received 59.5% of the vote, well ahead of runner-up Spencer Guilbeau of Vandebilt Catholic baseball and third-place Reese Prevost of Thibodaux track and field.
Theriot won an individual state championship in the discus throw. She received 67.8% of the vote, beating out runner-up Corin Talbot of Vandebilt Catholic softball and third-place Kourtney Duet of South Lafourche track and field.
