Vote for the Storm Works Roofing High School Football Player of the Week for Week 12

The winner for the Week 11 Storm Works Roofing Football Player of the Week poll was Fairhaven’s Justin Marques. Marques received more than 40% of the vote to earn the honor.

Against Hudson, Marques carried the ball 44 times for 226 yards and scored five touchdowns, tying the school’s single-game mark he already shared with Nate Pickup.

Previous winners were Old Colony’s Stu Burnham, GNB Voc-Tech’s Aydyn Santos, Nick Boucher and Alex Pellegrino, New Bedford’s Jarren Goodine and Shawn Waters and Wareham’s Jayce Travers and Ty-Rell Pires.

'He's a special player'; Apponequet RB continues record-breaking season in win over ORR

Dylan Bradley, Apponequet

Bradley scored a pair of touchdowns as Apponequet beat Old Rochester 34-21 on Thanksgiving.

Brody Joly, Apponequet

Against Old Rochester, Joly broke another Apponequet rushing record, topping Nate Michael's single-season yard mark from 2011. Joly also had three touchdowns, including one on a 95-yard kickoff return.

Travis Henriques, Bishop Stang

Henriques had Stang’s lone touchdown on a 9-yard run in the second quarter of a 31-6 loss to Bishop Feehan.

Markus Andrews, Dartmouth

Not only did Andrew block a PAT attempt by Fairhaven, he also caught a 49-yard touchdown pass in Dartmouth’s loss to Fairhaven.

Ray Gramlich, Dartmouth

Gramlich had a team-high 110 yards on 17 carries and scored on a 9-yard run against Fairhaven.

Jackson Hart, Dartmouth

Hart threw a pair of touchdown passes against Fairhaven. Hart completed 9 passes for 98 yards and carried the ball four times for 85 yards.

Cam Burke, Fairhaven

Burke, Fairhaven’s backup quarterback, scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter in a win over Dartmouth. Burke led the Blue Devils on three scoring drives in the second half.

Grant Darmofal, Fairhaven

Darmofal knocked down a 42-yard field goal with two seconds left to lift Fairhaven past Dartmouth 24-21. It was Darmofal’s first career field goal.

Justin Marques, Fairhaven

Marques carried the ball 22 times for 139 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns against Dartmouth.

Aliaz Colon, GNB Voc-Tech

Colon carried the ball nine times for a team-high 74 yards and scored a touchdown to help the Bears beat Diman on Thanksgiving.

Nasir Cox, GNB Voc-Tech

Cox returned a blocked punt six yards for a touchdown in Voc-Tech’s win over Diman.

Jarren Goodine, New Bedford

Goodine not only threw a 2-point conversion pass, he also scored the go-ahead touchdown for New Bedford in the third quarter of the Whalers’ win over Durfee.

Colin Rodrigues, New Bedford

Rodrigues completed 7 of 10 passes for 178 yards and connected on three touchdown passes as the Whalers beat Durfee. He also caught a 2-point conversion pass.

Stu Burnham, Old Colony

Despite playing with a cast on his right arm, Burnham carried the ball four times for 79 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns on runs of 12 and 10 yards in a 43-8 win over Tri-County.

Shawn Markham, Old Colony

Markham not only had three carries for 48 yards and a touchdown, he also returned a punt 65 yards to paydirt against Tri-County.

Gavin Martin, Old Rochester

Martin had a hand in two out of ORR’s three touchdowns in a loss to Apponequet, running for one and throwing for another. Martin completed six passes for 156 yards and carried the ball 12 times for 55 yards.

Remy Wilson, Old Rochester

Wilson not only connected on three PATs, he also had a 61-yard touchdown catch against the Lakers and finished with 100 yards receiving.

Will Halloran, Wareham

Halloran connected on three touchdown passes in a 36-26 loss to Bourne.

Ajay Lopes, Wareham

Lopes caught a pair of touchdown passes, scored on a 48-yard run and had a 2-point conversion against the Canalmen.
