Results: Honda Cars of Aiken Augusta-area High School Athlete of the Week reader poll
It's time to vote for this week's Honda Cars of Aiken Augusta-area High School Athlete of the Week.
Alleluia Community School's Alley McBride took the top spot with 67.96 percent of the vote. Aquinas' Emma Kate Noegel finished second with 30.77.
The athletes featured in this poll represent the best on-field performers from the past week of high school sports competitions around the Augusta area. Lemar Edmond, Harlem boys’ basketball
Edmond recorded 17 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and three steals in Harlem’s 67-51 win over Morgan County. It was the Bulldogs’ first region win of the season.
Traeon Brown, Hephzibah boys’ basketball
Brown recorded a double-double (15 points, 18 rebounds) in a loss against Richmond Academy last week. He also finished Friday’s contest against Cross Creek with 12 points and eight boards.
Tahjae Hawes, Cross Creek girls’ basketball
Hawes recorded 26 points in a 72-25 win over Hephzibah, surpassing 1,000 points for her high school career.
Braylon Maddox, Cross Creek boys’ basketball
Maddox scored a team-high 17 points in a 67-47 win over Morgan County last week.

Johnson scored a team-high 24 points in a 72-42 win over Hephzibah last week.
Jazzlyn Crenshaw, Thomson girls’ basketball
Crenshaw recorded a double-double (11 points, 10 rebounds) in a 41-35 win over Butler last week.
Jahkiaus Jones, Thomson boys’ basketball
Jones scored a team-high 26 points in a 70-49 win over Washington County last week. He also recorded 11 points in a 64-50 win over Butler earlier in the week.

Cannon scored a team-high 29 points in a 68-48 win over Westminster Schools of Augusta last week. He also recorded 18 points in a win over Horse Creek Academy.
Alley McBride, Alleluia Community School girls’ basketball
McBride led the team in scoring in wins over Faith Christian Baptist Academy (17 points) and Faith Christian Academy (14 points) last week.
