Results: Honda Cars of Aiken Augusta-area High School Athlete of the Week reader poll
It's time to vote for this week's Honda Cars of Aiken Augusta-area High School Athlete of the Week.
Alleluia Community School's Alley McBride took the top spot with 67.96 percent of the vote. Aquinas' Emma Kate Noegel finished second with 30.77.
The athletes featured in this poll represent the best on-field performers from the past week of high school sports competitions around the Augusta area. Lemar Edmond, Harlem boys’ basketball
Edmond recorded 17 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and three steals in Harlem’s 67-51 win over Morgan County. It was the Bulldogs’ first region win of the season.
Traeon Brown, Hephzibah boys’ basketball
Brown recorded a double-double (15 points, 18 rebounds) in a loss against Richmond Academy last week. He also finished Friday’s contest against Cross Creek with 12 points and eight boards.
