It's time to take a look at the standout performers from Section V.

Your vote will determine who will be the Advantage Federal Credit Union's Girls Sports Athlete of the Week for Jan. 8-14. The players' credentials are listed above the poll — which will be live until 8 p.m. Tuesday. The winner will be announced on our Instagram page Wednesday morning.

All athletes who play on Section V girls teams are eligible to be nominated.

Taylor Morse

The Penn Yan bowler rolled a 220 high game and 603 high series during a 5-0 win over Marcus Whitman on Thursday to improve to 8-0 overall.

Kaylee Oswald

The Wellsville junior won the shot put competition after she put the shot 36 feet-9 ¼ inches during a Rochester Winter Track League meet at Houghton University.

Kate Robinson

The Canandaigua senior moved to the top of the Section V girls 600-meter indoor track leaderboard when she won a race in 1 minute, 41.10 seconds during a Monroe County league meet at SUNY Brockport.

Jaymee Snyder

The Clyde-Savannah bowler shot a 177 high game and 533 high series during a win over North Rose-Wolcott on Thursday.

Jayda Solomon

The Spencerport junior continued her strong season as a sprinter in Section V girls indoor track when she sped to the top girls 55-meter dash time in 2023-24, 7.24 seconds during a Monroe County league meet at SUNY Brockport.
