Von Miller’s impact on Bills being felt on both sides of the ball

Von Miller was signed by the Buffalo Bills to tackle opposing quarterbacks but at his first training camp with the team his impact is being felt in numerous ways.

Both sides of the ball included.

Defensively, things are going according to plan. Miller is having a good camp and he’s teaming up well with tackle Ed Oliver on the D-line.

The hope has been that Miller and Oliver would form a dynamic duo and that’s how it has looked so far. Both are consistently putting pressure on quarterback Josh Allen.

However, Oliver said Miller is making a personal impact in the Bills locker room. Miller is helping bring the D-line closer together by just being himself. That’s helped the pair create a tight bond.

“It feels good to have a guy of that caliber that has been in the league and has so many stripes to be like ‘Yeah, I have some help’ and embrace me,” Oliver said via video conference. “I know Von Miller is Von Miller, but at the same time, Von Miller evolved into like my brother.”

On the other side of things, look no further than the true and tested football cliché “iron sharpens iron.”

That’s the impact Miller is having on the offensive line, according to left tackle Dion Dawkins.

Dawkins said Miller’s reputation as a great pass rusher is all truth. He even struggled to find the right words as Dawkins talked about what it’s like to block Miller.

At the end of the day, Dawkins knows facing Miller will only make him better in the long run.

In a way only Dawkins could do it, see the WROC-TV video below for how he describes facing Miller:
