VOLLEYBALL: Tuttle's Wilson signs with Spoon River College

Nov. 27—Tiffany Wilson found the place to continue her volleyball career.

Wilson has spent plenty of time playing volleyball and falling in love with the sport, and she will continue playing and loving the sport at the next level. Wilson has signed to continue her volleyball career at Spoon River College.

"Competing at the next level means everything to me," Wilson said. "It's been my dream to play in college and become like my mom."

Spoon River College is in Illinois, and the school has provided a great opportunity for Wilson to continue doing something she loves. She also loved being able to talk to those around the team.

"The team and coaches were fun to talk to," Wilson said. "They also offered a great scholarship."

Wilson was one of several Tuttle athletes to have a signing ceremony in early November. She was able to celebrate her success.

"Having a signing day with all of my supporters around me is just so positively overwhelming," Wilson said. "All of our hard work has paid off, so a signing day is a great way to get together and celebrate."

Wilson said she has been playing volleyball for several years, starting at a young age while following in the footsteps of her mother and inspiration.

"I started playing around at a young age and slowly fell in love with the sport," she said. "My mom played throughout her life, so that was my biggest inspiration."

Along with getting to share a love of the sport with her mother, Wilson has also loved getting to meet other people through the sport of volleyball. She's gotten to learn a lot through the years.

"I love all of the people you get to meet from many different places and the bonds you create with them," Wilson said. "There are also so many opportunities to learn new things."

And Wilson has loved getting to play her volleyball at Tuttle.

There have been plenty of ups and downs for Wilson and her volleyball teammates. She believes all of the experiences, good or bad, have made her and others stronger.

"There have been many emotions throughout the years. This team and I have been through so much, but it has only made us stronger," Wilson said. "I am so very thankful for all of the good and bad.

"Without each of those experiences and people, I would not be where I am."
