It's safe to say that Bryce Thompson, the 6-foot-4, 160-pound shooting guard from Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa, Okla., had a successful visit to the University of Kansas on Thursday.

With his father, Rod Thompson, who played for current head coach Bill Self at Tulsa, by his side, Bryce Thompson, a member of the 2020 class, experienced a little bit of everything during his time in Lawrence.

On Friday afternoon, JayhawkSlant.com caught up with Thompson to get the latest update on his visit.

“The Kansas visit was a success,” Bryce Thompson told JayhawkSlant.com. “I was really impressed with the academic advisors and how personable they are with the players. I really enjoyed being able to see Allen Fieldhouse for the first time in person. The dorms were really nice.

“Overall, I had an amazing experience.

Thompson, who averaged 11.3 points and 2.6 rebounds per game last year, has already received scholarship offers from the likes of DePaul, Houston, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Tulsa and Oral Roberts.

Corey Evans, Rivals.com National Basketball Analyst, had this to say about Thompson back in the spring.

Quote: (Kansas): “They are top of the line. I like the crowd, coach (Bill) Self, and just everything that they do.”

Prediction: Thompson has the makings of a Rivals150 prospect in the 2020 class and with even better upside to top it all off; seeing that his father played for Bill Self at Tulsa, if Kansas were to offer, it would be difficult to beat the Jayhawks at the end of the day.
