Video Transcript

MINTY BETS: This Saturday, August 8, we've got UFC Fight Night here in beautiful Las Vegas, Nevada. Kevin Iole is here with me to give us his best bets for the weekend.

In the middleweight bout, we've got Omari Akhmedov at minus 105 versus Chris Weidman at minus 115. Both favored here. Both kind of a pick 'em. Kevin, what do you think?

KEVIN IOLE: Yeah, it's a really interesting fight because Chris Weidman, the former middleweight champion, is sort of in a must-win situation. If he doesn't win this, then he's just another guy, right? He's been a top of the heap fighter for a long period of time, but he's had a lot of losses in a row. This is a must win for him.

I think with his wrestling ability and with the focus I think he's going to bring to this fight, I think 115 isn't too much to lay. I like Chris Weidman to win this by decision.

MINTY BETS: For the main event, we've got a heavyweight fight between Derrick Lewis, minus 235, versus Aleksei Oleinik, plus 195. What do you think about this one?

KEVIN IOLE: Well, Aleksei Oleinik, has won, what, 49 fights. He's been around a while, a veteran, and he has had a number of submissions. I mean, this is a guy that, you know, has had every kind of submission you might imagine. And if you think that Derrick Lewis is vulnerable to one thing, it's submissions.

And so I think, you know, this is going to be a fascinating fight. The MGM does not, as we speak right now, have a line out on over/under on this, but I think this is going to be one that's probably going to be an under play. Definitely not going to go to the finish, so that will be one of my plays.

But I really like Oleinik to win the fight. I think Oleinik is going to figure out a way to get the fight to the ground, and when it goes to the ground, they're a different class of fighters. You know, Lewis has a decided edge on his feet, big knockout puncher. But once they go to the ground, it's the opposite.

And I think the fight will get to the ground at some point, Minty. And when that-- when it does, I think you'll see maybe an Ezekiel choke from Aleksei Oleinik, but I think he's going to win by submission.

MINTY BETS: I love an underdog upset. All right, can't wait to see it. Thank you so much, Kevin.

KEVIN IOLE: Thanks, Minty.
