Video: Canelo Alvarez shows Brandon Moreno how to rip the perfect body shot

Who better to show UFC flyweight champion Brandon Moreno the ropes than the pound-for-pound No. 1 boxer in the world?

Moreno (19-5-2 MMA, 7-2-2 UFC) took in some striking tips from WBA, WBC, WBO, and The Ring super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez, who showed “The Assassin Baby” how to throw a body shot. Moreno was also pictured with WBC super featherweight champion Oscar Valdez and former heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz Jr.

#teamassassinbaby🔪👶 #caneloteam🇲🇽 #boxing #mma #ufc #champs !!

Moreno’s star continues to rise since becoming the first Mexico-born champion in UFC history. Training with Alvarez to sharpen his striking will only take his already well rounded game to the next level, as the 27-year-old previously expressed his desire of becoming the Julio Cesar Chavez of MMA.

“He’s a legend, and you reach legend status when people, regardless if they like boxing or not, know your name – people know Julio Cesar Chavez,” Moreno told MMA Junkie in a recent interview. “In Mexico, times that by the maximum, and to have someone like that have very nice words for you and recognize your name, it’s very special. I’ve said it before, I want to be the Julio Cesar Chavez of MMA. I want to be that point of reference, when people hear my name they say, ‘That guy is a legend in MMA; he revolutionized.’ Right now I want to evolve MMA in my country, and I hope to accomplish that.”
