Vermont H.S. football: Divisional matchups set for 2023 high school football playoffs
The Vermont high school football regular-season has concluded. But now the true test begins with playoffs, which end in a championship tripleheader on Nov. 11 at Rutland's Alumni Field.

The Vermont Interscholastic Football League announced matchups and tentative dates for next weekend's quarterfinal rounds in each division.

DIVISION I
Friday, October 27
No. 8 BFA-St. Albans (3-5) at No. 1 Hartford (8-0), 7 p.m.
No. 5 Middlebury (5-3) at No. 4 St. Johnsbury (5-3), 7 p.m.
Saturday, October 28
No. 6 Essex (4-4) at No. 3 Champlain Valley (7-1), 1 p.m.
No. 7 Brattleboro (3-4-1) at No. 2 Burr and Burton (7-1), 1 p.m.
Week 8: CVU football holds off Middlebury in Division I title rematch
DIVISION II
Friday, October 27
No. 8 Milton (3-5) at No. 1 Fair Haven (7-0), 7 p.m.
No. 5 U-32 (4-4) at No. 4 Colchester (3-5), 7 p.m.
No. 7 Rice (3-4) at No. 2 North Country (6-2), 7 p.m.
Saturday, October 28
No. 6 Spaulding (4-4) at No. 3 Bellows Falls (4-4), 1 p.m.
