Vanderbilt basketball final score, recap vs. LSU

Vanderbilt basketball lost to LSU, 77-69, at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on Tuesday night.

Former Commodore Jordan Wright put up 15 points, but it was Tigers point guard Jalen Cook who really made a difference with 28.

Ezra Manjon led Vanderbilt with 19 points. Tyrin Lawrence had six rebounds. Both Manjon and Lawrence were limited in practice leading up to the game but Manjon played 31 minutes and Lawrence played 30.

Three other Commodores were in double digits: Ven-Allen Lubin (11 points), Evan Taylor (10 points) and Jason Rivera-Torres (10 points).

Vanderbilt shot just 26% from 3-point range, though that still beat LSU's 19%. The Commodores also out-rebounded LSU, 38-36, and shot 44% from the field to the Tigers' 42%. The big difference was that LSU attempted 23 free throws and made 20, compared to an 8-for-12 performance from Vanderbilt.

Jerry Stackhouse got a technical foul for complaining about the officiating.
