Uzi subbed out due to wrist injury, Again starts for Royal Never Give Up


Jian “Uzi” Zihao, beloved Chinese AD carry, did not play in the League of Legends match against LGD Gaming today because of a wrist injury. His arm pains have been on-going since 2015.

According to Riot China’s casters, Uzi was not at the LPL venue today for the match against LGD Gaming because of his wrist injury. This is not the first time fans have heard of Uzi experiencing pain in his arm, as he publicly contemplated retiring at the end of 2015 due to discomfort in his shoulder. Earlier this year, Uzi also went to the hospital to receive care for his wrist.

In Uzi’s place, Royal Never Give Up started substitute mid laner Tao “Again” Xiang as AD carry. He played Varus in the first match against LGD Gaming.

Uzi’s absence comes with the return of jungler Liu “Mlxg” Shiyu to the starting lineup after a two week absence, also do to health concerns. RNG remain in first place in Group A.
