UNM women's soccer adds four players for 2024

Nov. 8—The UNM women's soccer program signed four players on Wednesday, adding two forwards, a defender and a goalkeeper to the 2024 roster.

Set to join the Lobos next season are Molly Adams from South Lake Tahoe, California, Sherry Diep from Cerritos, California, Ayla Dills from Albuquerque and Ashley Moody from Castle Rock, Colorado.

"This is a class that we feel will come in and make an immediate impact," Head Coach Heather Dyche said in a press release. "Not only are they successful and talented players, but they are great people who will add to our culture.

"Molly is a player who we think has a huge ceiling and the drive and desire to elevate the level of our goalkeeping at UNM. Sherry is a creative forward who makes players around her better and finds ways to score goals. Ayla is a dynamic player who will give us another explosive attacking threat. She and her family have generational ties to UNM Athletics and we are excited to have her staying here to represent her hometown. Ashley is a composed center defender who has a great understanding of the game and the leadership to make an impact.

Dils runs track and plays soccer at Sandia High School. Her father, Alan Dils, played tennis at UNM from 1984-89 and later coached the program from 1996-2014. He is the all-time winningest coach in program history and was a five-time Mountain West Coach of the Year.
