UNC basketball offers three star forward in 2023 class

Hubert Davis and the North Carolina Tar Heels may not be done adding to the 2023 recruiting class just yet.

On Wednesday night, the Tar Heels extended an offer to a former Notre Dame commit, officially offering three-star forward Brady Dunlap. The 6-foot-7, 180-pound California native was committed to the Fighting Irish but backed out once Mike Brey announced his retirement from the program.

Since then, his recruitment has been a busy one and now North Carolina is getting involved.

The offer was reported by Jack Pollon and then confirmed just a few hours later by Inside Carolina on Wednesday night:

Dunlap is a standout at Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles and was a teammate of Bronny James on the AAU circuit. He’s currently ranked 128th nationally, the 30th small forward, and the 21st player in the state of California per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.

UNC currently has a two-man 2023 class with Simeon Wilcher and Zayden High coming in but do have room to add more pieces either in recruiting or through the transfer portal.
