UFC Announces The Ultimate Fighter China; Tryouts in July and August

UFC Announces Dates for Return to Macao and Japan; Predicts 2015 Move Onto Mainland China

The UFC has put out the call for the next international edition of The Ultimate Fighter with China announced as the next host country of the venerable reality series.

UFC officials on Saturday announced the Chinese version of The Ultimate Fighter via its Chinese-language website.

Not surprisingly, TUF China is kicking off with a search for fighters from some of the lighter weight classes. UFC officials are asking for featherweight, lightweight and welterweight fighters to try out for the show’s inaugural edition.

Tryouts are currently set for July 21 at the Beijing Metropark Lido Hotel, July 25 at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, and Aug. 3 at The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel in Macao.

All TUF China applicants must have professional MMA experience verifiable via mixedmartialarts.com and sherdog.com fighter records. If the applicant’s record can’t be verified, they will likely not be eligible for the show.

All applicants must also be at least 18 years of age, living in China, have the legal right to work, pass a drug test, and be fluent in Mandarin/Putonghua.

Applicants must not be under contract with another promotion or provide written proof of the termination of their contract with said promotion.

The TUF China will culminate in a live finale in Macao, although no broadcast details have yet been revealed.
