UFC on ABC 5 weigh-in results: Two fighters overweight, one bout canceled

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – MMA Junkie was on scene and reporting live from Friday’s UFC on ABC 5 fighter weigh-ins.

The early weigh-ins took place at the UFC host hotel in Jacksonville, Fla., and precede the ceremonial weigh-ins for the fans, which take place at 5 p.m. ET at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena. The same venue hosts Saturday’s event, which has a main card on ABC and ESPN+ following prelims on ESPN/ESPN+.

Among those weighing in were Josh Emmett (18-3 MMA, 9-3 UFC) and Ilia Topuria (13-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC), who meet in the featherweight main event, and Maycee Barber (12-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC) and Amanda Ribas (11-3 MMA, 6-2 UFC), who fight in a women’s flyweight contenders bout. All four fighters atop the card made weight.

The prelims were plagued with misses, though. Loik Radzhabov was 1.25 pounds heavy for his lightweight bout vs. Mateusz Rebecki, and Kleydson Rodrigues was a whopping three pounds overweight for his flyweight clash with Tatsuro Taira, leading to a cancellation of their matchup.
