Tyrese Maxey back in the gym working out after tough end to season

The Philadelphia 76ers were eliminated from the Eastern Conference semifinals by the Miami Heat back on May 12 and it has left a disappointing taste in their mouths. The Sixers have a ton of talent led by Joel Embiid and James Harden and Philadelphia will want to take advantage of it.

Another rising star on this roster is young Tyrese Maxey who took leaps and bounds forward in his second season in the league. He ended up averaging 17.5 points and shot 42.7% from deep and he then averaged 20.8 points in the playoffs.

However, it still wasn’t the way he and the Sixers wanted to end the season so Maxey believes he wasn’t good enough out on the floor for Philadelphia. He kept using the acronym “NGE” which stands for Not Good Enough and he posted on his Instagram story that he was back in the gym working with that same “NGE” acronym as he begins preparation for the 2022-23 season.

Maxey has been terrific in his first two seasons with the Sixers and he will now look to take yet another leap in his third season. Considering his current career path and his maniacal work ethic, one can see him taking another step forward.
