Tyreek Hills vows to dominate Patriots regardless of defensive plan
Miami Dolphins All-Pro receiver Tyreek Hill isn’t concerned with the possibility of being double-teamed by the New England Patriots defense on Sunday.
Hill went off for 11 receptions, 215 yards and two touchdowns in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Chargers. He’ll face a tougher task against a talented Patriots defense that held its own against Philadelphia Eagles’ explosive receivers, A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.
None of that matters to Hill, who vows to dominate regardless of the defensive game plan the Patriots use against him.
“I’m still going to dominate that no matter what,” said Hill, via Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio. “I still got a job to do, and that’s to run my routes. You put two guys on me, one guy on me, or three guys on me I’m still going to run my route to get open.”
The Patriots will have a herculean task on their hands in trying to contain both Hill and Jaylen Waddle, but the strength of the team has clearly been Bill Belichick’s defense.
Hill giving them bulletin board material so close to kick-off is welcome for a Patriots team that can’t afford to start off the season 0-2.
