These two Penn State players are heading to NFL Combine

With the college football season all but over (the national championship game will be played Monday night by Alabama and Georgia), the offseason is officially in full swing. And for a pair of Penn State players, that means preparing for the NFL Combine in Indianapolis later this spring.

Although there will be more Nittany Lions to join the party, linebacker and defensive end Jesse Luketa and punter Jordan Stout are officially on their way to Indy. The two Penn State players announced they have accepted their invitations to the NFL Combine with messages posted to their Twitter accounts on Wednesday.

Luketa and Stout each declare for the 2022 NFL draft after playing in Penn State’s bowl game, a loss to Arkansas in the Outback Bowl. But the decision to turn pro was not at all surprising for either player. Luketa proved he can play multiple defensive positions well this season, which will make him a fun prospect to keep tabs on in the combine and pro day circuit leading up to the draft. And Stout proved to be one of the most reliable punters in the nation, earning the Big Ten’s punter of the year award this past season.

This year’s NFL combine will begin on March 1 and run through March 7 in Indianapolis. Expect to see Luketa and Stout joined by a good number of their Penn State teammates, including Jahan Dotson, Arnold Ebiketie, and Jaquan Brisker.
