Two LaMelo Ball assists land on NBA’s Top 10 plays of the night
LaMelo Ball set a new career-high for rebounds as the Charlotte Hornets rolled to a fourth consecutive win on Monday night with a 109-88 victory at home against the New York Knicks. Ball finished the game with eight points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists off the bench in 30 minutes – and two of his dimes made the NBA’s list of the Top 10 plays of the night.
At No. 6 in the countdown is a full-court heave from LaMelo to Gordon Hayward that set up an easy transition bucket. Just one step from the baseline, Ball grabbed a rebound and immediately fired a one-handed touchdown pass to Hayward, who turned and drained a close-range shot.
Ball’s pass to a trailing Caleb Martin for an emphatic dunk following a Devonte’ Graham steal was listed as the No. 3 play of the night.
