Two Brighton baseball players earn all-state honors
Brighton seniors Easton Storey and Conner Prahl were the only Livingston County players to receive all-state honors from the Michigan High School Baseball Coaches’ Association.
Storey and Prahl were both second-team selections in Division 1.
Storey went 8-2 with a 1.30 earned run average, striking out 88 batters in 54 innings. The Purdue University recruit allowed a batting average of .161.
Prahl hit .324 with 15 doubles, driving in 32 runs and scoring 26.
Storey, Prahl and Howell sophomore Nick Hoorn were chosen to the all-region team. Hoorn made all-region as a utility player after hitting .370 and going 8-0 on the mound.
The county hasn't had a first-team all-state baseball selection since 2019 when Brighton's Zach Hopman and Howell's Luke Russo not only made the Division 1 team, but the all-division Dream Team.
