Twitter reacts to Titans trading up to select QB Malik Willis

The Tennessee Titans officially have their quarterback of the future after trading up in the third round of the 2022 NFL draft and selecting Liberty signal-caller, Malik Willis.

In the trade with the Las Vegas Raiders, the Titans gave up pick Nos. 90 and 169 in order to move up four spots to draft Willis.

Tennessee’s offseason just got a lot more interesting with this pick, as Willis will now sit behind Ryan Tannehill for one season before likely taking over in 2023.

However, the spotlight will firmly be on Willis no matter what, and chances are Tannehill won’t be too thrilled with this situation.

Of all the quarterbacks in this draft class, Willis has the highest ceiling. He offers a strong arm and has flashed nice touch with his passes, but he also possesses the kind of off-the-charts athleticism that teams are looking for with their quarterbacks in this day and age.

He’ll need time to develop, but this is no doubt a home-run pick for the Titans based on where they ultimately landed Willis, who was expected to go somewhere in the first round before the draft started.

Now, a look at the Twitter reaction, which was overwhelmingly positive for the Titans’ pick of Willis.
