Twitter reacts after QB Philip Rivers’ possible last game of career

After 16 seasons with the Chargers, quarterback Philip Rivers took his talents to the Colts, where he showed that he still had some gas in the tank, leading Indianapolis to an 11-5 record and a playoff appearance.

The Colts’ season just came to an end after losing to the Bills in Saturday’s wild-card game by the score of 27-24.

Despite the loss, Chargers fans that supported Rivers over the past decade watched the 39-year old throw for 309 yards and two touchdowns, hoping he would be being able to capture his lone Super Bowl ring.

On the season, Rivers completed 68 percent of his passes, threw for over 4,000 yards, 24 touchdowns, and only 11 interceptions.

The Colts want him back for another stint, but it will also fall on if Rivers wants to come back or if he wants to begin coaching high school football at St. Michael Catholic High School.

With Rivers’ 17th and possible last season coming to an end, here are some of the best tweets by fans that paid homage to the future Hall of Famer.
