Tuesday Seacoast roundup: Exeter's Schimoler throws perfect game; Amend leads PHS boys lax

EXETER - Hayden Schimoler struck out nine and pitched a perfect game as the Exeter High School baseball team beat Concord, 11-0 on Tuesday in a Division I contest.

The game was called after five innings due to the 10-run rule. It was the 11th straight win for the Blue Hawks, who are now 14-1 on the season.

John Bakker had a double and drove in three for Exeter, while teammates Mike Caron (two RBIs, run) and Jack Dever (RBI, run) both had two hits. Schimoler (two runs), Cam Keaveney (RBI, run), Brennan Schimoler (two runs, RBI), Finn Adams (run), all Cam Piwnicki (RBI) each had a hit.

HAMPTON - Jones Vicinus allowed three hits over four scoreless innings, leading Winnacunnet to this Division I win, its fourth straight.

Sophomore Harvey Reynoso pitched the final three innings, striking out four and not allowing a hit.

Connor Fowler and Jackson Larck both had two hits for Winnacunnet (9-7), while Timmy Knight and Mason McDonald both had one. Larck, Knight, and Miles Pratt each had an RBI for the Warriors.

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine - Tyler Hussey allowed two runs on six hits and struck out four in this Class A South loss for Marshwood (9-3).

Hussey, Sam Gennaro and Michael Sbrizza each had a hit for the Hawks.

PITTSFIELD - Kian Littlefield had three hits and six RBIs, Grady Howe had three hits and four RBIs, Aaron Market had three hits and two RBIs and Dom Anella had three hits and an RBI to lead PCA (9-3) to this Division IV win.

Brayden Leland struck out nine over four scoreless innings, earning the win.

PITTSFIELD - Lexi Jordan pitched six innings and allowed one earned run for PCA (8-4) in this Division IV loss.

WOLFEBORO - Zac Amend had five goals and two assists, and Reilly Collins had three goals and one assist to help Portsmouth (13-0) to this Division II win.

Briggs Catino (two assists) and Sam Biddle each had two goals for the Clippers, while Henry Purcell and Thijs Beelen both had a goal, and Connor Williams had one assist.

Portsmouth goalies Kai Paterson (11) and AJ Craig (five) combined for 16 saves. Defensively, Masi Shone and Andrew Timerman shined.

AMHERST - Lukas Botnick and Beckett Rath both had three goals, and Nolan Rennie and Braden Nowak each had two for Winnacunnet in this Division II win.

Spencer Ziegler, Alex Strater and Tim Kollmorgen all had one goal for the Warriors, while Alec Mitchell had three assists, and Kollmorgen, Burke Spalding and Jake Magri all had one. Mitchell was also 14-for-17 on faceoffs.

SOUTH BERWICK, Maine - Hayden Demeroto scored four goals and Jackson Hamilton added three to lead Class B Marshwood (4-5) to this win over Class A Gorham.

Quinn Maguire and Rogan Boisvert (three assists) each had two goals for the Hawks, while Troy Bascio had one goal and one assist. Marshwood goalie Luke Dockham had eight saves.

DOVER - Ryan Resch scored five goals, Jackson Estes (assist) had four and Aidan Morrison (assist) two to lead STA (9-3) to this Division II win.

Finley De Tolla and one goal and six assists for the Saints, while Trent Salyards (assist), Luke Daly, Zach Bottril, Michael Ellis, Harper Jellison, Ben Bryan and Drew Petit all had a goal.

DURHAM - Alex Moody and Ty Callander each scored four goals, and Cole Levesque added three to lead Oyster River (8-4) to this Division II win.

Jake Failla (four assists), Talon Beyer (one assist), Cabot Holden-Mount and Dee Tsakiris each had a goal, while Jadyn Smart had two assists. Evan Plourde, Travis Faul and Jeff Keyes each had a goal for Oyster River, and goalies Cole Norris and Connor Evans combined for three saves.

NAPLES, Maine - Keira Alessi, Sam Latchaw and Maddy Rohan each had three goals to lead Traip (6-3) to this Class C win.

Sarah Carven added two goals and Jacey Johnson had one.

In doubles, Berardino and Ewan Simard won 8-0 at No. 1, Robert Pfeifer and Mike Burke won 8-4 at No. 2, and Zack Radzom and Max Radzom won 8-4 at No. 3.
