Tuesday Seacoast roundup: Exeter's Schimoler throws perfect game; Amend leads PHS boys lax

EXETER - Hayden Schimoler struck out nine and pitched a perfect game as the Exeter High School baseball team beat Concord, 11-0 on Tuesday in a Division I contest.

The game was called after five innings due to the 10-run rule. It was the 11th straight win for the Blue Hawks, who are now 14-1 on the season.

John Bakker had a double and drove in three for Exeter, while teammates Mike Caron (two RBIs, run) and Jack Dever (RBI, run) both had two hits. Schimoler (two runs), Cam Keaveney (RBI, run), Brennan Schimoler (two runs, RBI), Finn Adams (run), all Cam Piwnicki (RBI) each had a hit.

Sophomore Harvey Reynoso pitched the final three innings, striking out four and not allowing a hit.

Connor Fowler and Jackson Larck both had two hits for Winnacunnet (9-7), while Timmy Knight and Mason McDonald both had one. Larck, Knight, and Miles Pratt each had an RBI for the Warriors.

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine - Tyler Hussey allowed two runs on six hits and struck out four in this Class A South loss for Marshwood (9-3).

Hussey, Sam Gennaro and Michael Sbrizza each had a hit for the Hawks.

Brayden Leland struck out nine over four scoreless innings, earning the win.

Briggs Catino (two assists) and Sam Biddle each had two goals for the Clippers, while Henry Purcell and Thijs Beelen both had a goal, and Connor Williams had one assist.

Portsmouth goalies Kai Paterson (11) and AJ Craig (five) combined for 16 saves. Defensively, Masi Shone and Andrew Timerman shined.
