TSSAA football playoffs scores: Tennessee high school football quarterfinal live updates
The Division I quarterfinals and Division II semifinals of the TSSAA football playoffs kick off on Friday, and an argument can be made that it is annually the best Friday night of the playoffs.
There are some juicy storylines in Division II, where three state championship game matchups will be set by the end of Friday night. McCallie and Baylor have been the best teams in Division II-AAA, but neither are unbeatable. Can Gary Rankin return to the BlueCross Bowl with Boyd Buchanan? Jared Curtis and Nashville Christian have won two playoff games after losing three of the final four regular season games. Can the 6-6 Eagles make the Division II-A state title game?
In Division I, several rematches headline the slate. West faces Powell in a Class 5A quarterfinal game and a rematch of an overtime win by West in the regular season last month.
East Nashville hosts Liberty Creek in a Class 3A quarterfinal game, a rematch from East Nashville's 27-13 win on Sept. 15. Page hosts Centennial in a Class 5A quarterfinal and a rematch from Page's 20-10 win last month. Brentwood faces Ravenwood in Battle of the Woods, part two. And Oakland faces Riverdale in a Class 6A rematch of Riverdale's stunning upset at Oakland to end the regular season.
Follow along as games get underway after 7 p.m. Friday across the state.
