President Donald Trump, a longtime golf fan and owner of multiple courses, offered his congratulations to Patrick Reed on Twitter about two hours after Reed won his first green jacket.

“Congratulations to Patrick Reed on his great and courageous MASTERS win!” Trump tweeted. “When Patrick had his amazing win at Doral 5 years ago, people saw his great talent, and a bright future ahead. Now he is the Masters Champion!”

Reed’s third career win came in 2014 (which was, in fact, four years ago) at what was then called the WGC-Cadillac championship. The event, now known as the WGC-Mexico Championship, was played at the Trump National Doral in Miami Gardens, Florida, until last year. The tournament moved to Mexico after the PGA Tour indicated it was unable to secure sponsorship for the Trump-hosted event.

Trump is an avid golfer, and has played rounds with Tiger Woods, Dustin Johnson, Rory McIlroy and others since taking office.
