Trio of UFC fights added to Oct. 29 event

Three new fights have been added to the Oct. 29 UFC event.

While the event does not currently have an announced location or venue, previously-announced bouts include Edson Barboza vs. Ilia Topuria, and Andrei Arlovski vs. Marcos Rogerio de Lima.

Wednesday, three new fights surfaced, including a ranked light heavyweight and some notable Dana White’s Contender Series alumni. Scroll below to read about the three recent additions.

Joseph Holmes vs. Jun Yong Park

[autotag]Joseph Holmes[/autotag] (8-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC) has split his UFC performances to date since he obtained a promotional deal on an episode of “Dana White: Lookin’ for a Fight.” After a loss to Jamie Pickett, Holmes returned in May when he submitted Alen Amedovski in 64 seconds.

[autotag]Jun Yong Park[/autotag] (14-5 MMA, 4-2 UFC) has won four of his most recent five appearances in the UFC including a split decision victory in his most recent outing against Eryk Anders.

Multiple people with knowledge of this matchup recently informed MMA Junkie of the booking but asked to remain anonymous since the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.

[autotag]Dustin Jacoby[/autotag] (18-5-1 MMA, 6-2-1 UFC) competed less than four weeks ago and is already back on the books. Riding a four-fight winning streak, Jacoby has defeated Darren Stewart, John Allan, Michal Oleksiejczuk, and most recently Da Un Jung by violent knockout.

[autotag]Khalil Rountree[/autotag] (10-5 MMA, 6-5 UFC) rides back-to-back kick finishes into the matchup. After an injury-inducing knee stomp TKO of Modestas Bukauskas, Jacoby finished Karl Roberson with a body kick and punches in March.

This bout was first announced by Iridium Sports Agency, which manages Jacoby.

Steve Garcia vs. Chase Hooper

One of the most popular fighters from Dana White’s Contender Series, [autotag]Chase Hooper[/autotag] (11-2-1 MMA, 3-2 UFC) has taken it step by step thus far in his UFC career. Still only 22, Hooper showed vast improvements in his most recent outing, a TKO win against Felipe Colares.

Much life Hooper, [autotag]Steve Garcia[/autotag] (12-5 MMA, 1-2 UFC) has had an inconsistent promotional tenure. After a loss to Luis Pena, Garcia bounced back with a TKO win over Charlie Ontiveros. He returned in June against Maheshate and lost via first-round knockout.

This bout was first announced by Iridium Sports Agency, which manages Garcia.
