Top performers: Augusta-area athletes at the GHSA track and field state championships

The Georgia High School Association state track and field championships are in the books.

Augusta-area athletes, including a Division-I signee, competed across six classifications. Four local athletes brought home state championships and dozens more finished in the top-10 across multiple events.

In fact, the accolades began rolling in before the state meets even began. The Cross Creek girls 4x100-meter relay team was recently named All-Americans by the NHSTFXCCA (National High School Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association), including Jada Gray, Caalyn Hyman, Tamiya Mobley and Brooke Jordan.

Here's a breakdown of the top performers at the GHSA state meet.
