The Holland area saw several top performances this week from high school athetes.

Gabe Benavidez, Holland Unified basketball. Was the leading scorer in a win over Hudsonville in the season finale.
Merritt Alderink, Zeeland West basketball. Had nine points and seven rebounds in the state semifinals.
Orion Yant, Zeeland West basketball. Scored the game winner in a state quarterfinal win over Muskegon.
Chelsea Overbeek, West Ottawa basketball. Scored 18 points in a regional semifinal win over Kenowa Hills, nearly outscoring the opponent's entire team.
Brooke Pedersen, West Ottawa basketball. Had a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds in a regional final win over Byron Center.
Luke Bakker, Zeeland West basketball. Scored in double figures in win over Muskegon in state quarterfinals.
