Top high school offensive linemen in Acadiana to watch during 2023 season

Here are the top offensive linemen from the Acadiana area to watch during the 2023 high school football season:

Raquinton Allen

Westgate, Sr.

Why: Westgate will look for balance on offense and Allen will be a vital piece as the leader along the offensive line as a senior. Allen checks in at 6-2, 250.

Caleb Arceneaux

Eunice, Sr.

Why: Arceneaux made the move from tight end to guard this offseason, giving the Bobcats more reliability up front but also plenty of athleticism. The 6-foot, 230-pounder is also physical and will help Eunice up front.

Gavin Benoit

Church Point, Sr.

Why: While the Bears will be going through some growing pains after some key players departed, Benoit (6-foot, 250) will be one of the catalysts for helping the offense along, leading the offensive line.

Joey Edmonds

Southside, Sr.

Why: Sharks were great up front and it led to a breakout year. Edmonds is the lone returner on the offensive line from that group and a lot will be expected of the 6-2, 255-pound senior.

Jackson Hammond

Acadiana, Sr.

Why: Hammond is a two-time All-District performer and is expected to be the lead masher in Wreckin' Rams split veer attack this season. The 6-1, 270-pounder is set up to have a great senior campaign.

Ashton Helaire

St. Thomas More, Sr.

Why: From a recruiting standpoint, Helaire is the Acadiana area's top offensive line prospect with offers from Tennessee State and Grambling State but receiving interest from LSU and Florida State. At 6-3, 325, he was as second-team all-district selection a season ago.

Trevor Jeffrey

Lafayette Christian, Sr.

Why: Jeffrey is coming off a season helping pave the way to the Select Division II state championship game for the Knights and earning First Team All-State honors for his services. The 6-5, 255-pounder will be key this season.
