Todd Gurley hurdles defender before reaching out for touchdown

Todd Gurley is a complete athlete.

He can run, he can handle contact, and oh boy can he jump.

Look what he did to the poor Washington defense en route to his second touchdown of the day for the Los Angeles Rams.

That’s four-year veteran Bashaud Breeland who Gurley made look like a fool on the hurdle. And the jump is only half of what makes this play so impressive. Pay attention to Gurley’s footwork after taking a hit and the way he contorts his body to stay in bounds long enough to reach over the goal line. Even his extension over the pylon is eye-popping here.

That’s three highlight-reel-worthy moments in one play.

Officially, this will go down as an 18-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Jared Goff, but even Goff will have to agree he had nothing to do with this one.
