Tim Walton postseason record: WCWS history, appearances for longtime Florida softball coach

Florida coach Tim Walton has been one of college softball's most successful coaches during his Gators tenure, and he doesn't seem to be slowing down.

Walton, in his 19th season at Florida, has the Gators (49-12) as the No. 4 national seed heading into a Super Regionals matchup with Baylor.

The 51-year-old coach has been a mainstay in the Women's College World Series, despite falling in the Stanford Regional last season, only the third time the Gators exited in the first postseason round under Walton's tenure.

Walton, with the help of an impactful transfer portal class, has Florida positioned well to contend once again in 2024.

Tim Walton has made the NCAA Tournament in all but two of his 22 seasons as a college head coach, with the only time he has missed the postseason coming in his first two seasons at Wichita State.

Altogether, Walton has made 11 WCWS appearances, while making it to the Super Regionals 14 times in his career.

His postseason record is 96-42 overall, with just two games (both losses) being played outside of Florida.
