Tigers get a slight bump in US LBM Coaches Poll after win over Georgia State
LSU performed about as well as you would expect from an SEC team hosting a Sun Belt team on Saturday night.
The Tigers beat Georgia State 56-14, and the game presented a great opportunity for quarterback Jayden Daniels to boost his Heisman resume. Daniels played into the fourth quarter, scoring eight total touchdowns (six passing, two rushing) tying Joe Burrow’s SEC record for scores in a game.
With that win, LSU is getting a slight boost in this week’s US LBM Coaches Poll despite the fact that there was very little movement up top with only one team ranked above the Tigers — Oregon State — losing.
