Highlights from Thursday in high school sports:

BOYS SOCCER

  • David Marmolejo scored the tying goal on a penalty kick with 11 minutes to play and goalkeeper Ignacio Lopez-Ambriz, Mateo Vargas, Tony Delgado and Benieare Riley played well for Rio Mesa (8-7-4, 1-5-1) and Michael Sauceda converted a penalty kick for Pacifica (11-5-1, 4-2-1) as the teams played to a 1-1 draw in a Channel League match.

  • Justin Cruz scored the lone goal off an assist by Ryan Escobedo and Andy Gomez posted the shutout in net with help from a strong performance from the back line to lead Oxnard (10-4-1, 3-2-1) to a 1-0 victory over San Marcos in a Channel League match.

  • Luke Alatorre, Oscar Orozco and Adam Silva scored goals, Jack Nelson had an assist, and Colin Sasek recorded the shutout in goal to lead St. Bonaventure to a 3-0 victory over Villanova Prep in a Frontier League match.

GIRLS SOCCER

  • Sienna Pimentel netted a hat trick, Mia Ruiz had an assist, and freshman goalie Jazlynn Gomez stopped a penalty kick to preserve the shutout as Oxnard (7-3-1, 4-2-1) defeated San Marcos 3-1 in a Channel League match.

  • Pacifica (3-7-1, 3-3-1) earned to a 1-0 victory over Rio Mesa (6-4-4, 2-3-2) in a Channel League match.

  • Taylor Liston had two assists and Maddie Wicks and Alinah Rodriguez scored goals to lead Foothill Tech to a 2-0 victory over St. Bonaventure in a Tri-Valley League match.

  • Brianna Bergstrom scored two goals and Lucy Shah, Grace Courtland, Sadia Harbour and Jillian Estrada all had goals to lead La Reina (5-4-1, 3-1) to a 6-1 victory over Villanova Prep in a Frontier League match.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

  • Mikayla Oliver scored 16 points, Kayla Lumas had 11 points, Sienna Angell had 10 points, Sofia Salgado contributed eight points, and Azalea Kubic added seven points to lead first-place Oxnard (17-3, 6-0) to a 55-49 victory over Dos Pueblos in a Channel League game.

  • Milan Garcia had 20 points, five rebounds and three steals, Sarah Cosio finished with 14 points, 12 assists, 11 steals and five rebounds, and Sophia Fernandez had 11 points and five rebounds to lead St. Bonaventure (11-7, 3-1) to a 61-21 victory over Cate in a Tri-Valley League game.

  • Alyssa Olmos had 14 points and six rebounds for Santa Clara (1-20, 0-3) in its 46-26 loss to Foothill Tech (7-10, 3-0) in a Tri-Valley League game.

  • Ava Nebroski scored a season-high 22 points and Holland Hawks added 10 points to lead La Reina to a 50-25 win over Dunn in a Frontier League game.

  • Isabella Cerda had 12 points and two rebounds, Giovanna Martinez had six points and 15 rebounds, Jocelyn Martinez finished with six points, 15 rebounds and four assists, Ruby Barajas contributed six points, five rebounds and four assists, and LeShelle Lee added three points, six rebounds and four assists to lead Channel Islands to a 36-17 win over Hueneme in a Citrus Coast League game.

  • Aryanne Munoz had nine points, three rebounds and three assists, Andrea Ramirez had eight points and six rebounds, and Jacqueline Ordonez had six points and two rebounds for Fillmore (2-9, 1-4) in its 62-27 loss to Carpinteria in a Citrus Coast League game.

  • Leyna Spiros scored nine points for Hillcrest Christian (3-3, 1-2) in its 32-21 loss to Newbury Park Adventist in an Omega League game.

BOYS BASKETBALL

  • Jose Valdovinos scored 22 points, David Alvarez finished with 18 points, JJ De Santiago had 14 points, Jacob Barreto had six points, and Sammy Gomez added five points to lead Santa Paula (16-5, 6-0) to a 73-39 victory over Nordhoff in a Citrus Coast League game. Cayden Budlong had 14 points and six rebounds, Kayden Bruchey had nine points and three steals, and Jeremy Kircher added five points and three blocks for the Rangers (3-15, 2-5).

  • Chris Juanillo hit five 3-pointers, Jacob Cunningham hit four 3-pointers and Josh Partee added seven points to lead Hueneme (4-13, 2-2) to a 49-48 win over Fillmore in a Citrus Coast League game.

  • Mason Stueber scored 18 points, Caymen Wimmer had 15 points, Tyler Pickett had 14 points, Will Friel had nine points, and Carter Reid and Alex Klemz each added eight points to lead Hillcrest Christian (12-4, 2-0) to an 80-34 victory over Newbury Park Adventist in an Omega League game.

BOYS WRESTLING

  • Jackson Riggio (113 pounds), Darius Mello (132), Matt Siegel (150), Stellan Niblett (165) and Atom Wreblewski (175) each won by pin as Thousand Oaks beat Westlake 46-32 to improve to 2-0 in the Marmonte League.

  • Camarillo defeated Royal 41-26 to go undefeated in the Coastal Canyon League.

GIRLS WATER POLO

  • Charlotte Powell finished with 14 saves, four steals and two assists, Lindsey Ramirez had seven goals, an assist and three drawn ejections, and Malia Deneef had a goal and six assists to lead Santa Paula (10-5, 4-0) to a 17-2 win over Nordhoff in a Citrus Coast League game.
