Thursday's Top Prep Performers: Oaks Christian, La Reina clinch outright league titles

Highlights from Thursday in high school sports:

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

  • Maggie Rhew had 35 assists, three kills and 25 serving attempts, Hannah Brady contributed 13 digs, Sadie Kocur finished with 10 kills and seven digs, Delilah Davis had nine kills and three blocks, and Hailey Wilson had three aces as Oaks Christian swept Agoura 25-11, 25-8, 25-14 to clinch the outright Marmonte League title. The Lions, who are ranked 12th in the CIF-SS Division 1/2 poll, improved to 19-7 overall, which includes 9-0 in Marmonte play with one league game remaining.

  • Sarah Shaw finished with 18 kills and five blocks, Emily Morge had six kills and four digs, Maddie Dodd had four kills and four digs, Reagan Maguire had three kills and three digs, Makenna Hawkins had four kills and three blocks, and Logan Burns had three kills, two digs and two aces as La Reina swept Foothill Tech 25-15, 25-16, 27-25 to clinch the outright Tri-Valley League title. The Regents (24-5, 9-0), who are ranked No. 2 in the CIF-SS Division 5, have lost only three sets in league play with one league match remaining at home against Cate on Tuesday.

  • London Halvorsen finished with 17 kills, Addison Evans had 10 kills, Madelyn Miller had eight kills, Mia Paculan added 13 digs, Hailey Lauritzen compiled 20 assists, and Kina Paculan contributed 18 assists to lead Thousand Oaks (18-4, 7-2) to a 21-25, 25-17, 20-25, 26-24, 15-12 win over Westlake in a Marmonte League match.

  • Kenzie Holden had 14 kills and Reilly Hees had 12 kills to lead Newbury Park to a 25-10, 16-25, 19-25, 25-13, 15-13 victory over Calabasas in a Marmonte League match.

  • Emerson Moss finished with 10 aces and seven digs, Emily Ford contributed 11 kills, four digs and two blocks, Ayzlinn Trefren had nine kills and eight digs, and Ella Buonauro compiled 26 assists, four aces, seven digs and a block to lead first-place Royal (19-5, 6-0) to a 25-10, 25-10, 25-9 sweep of Camarillo in a Coastal Canyon League match.

  • Natascha Aden had 11 kills, Andrea Mise had 10 kills, Katie Russell had seven kills and four blocks, Taylor Mansmann finished with 25 digs and seven aces, Savannah Mitchell contributed 19 digs and 18 assists, and Ava Karatsonyi had 16 assists and 16 digs to lead Oak Park to a 25-20, 20-25, 25-23, 21-25, 15-13 win over Moorpark in a Coastal Canyon League match.

  • Ventura, ranked No. 1 in the CIF-SS Division 5, swept Pacifica in three sets to improve to 23-5 overall and 13-0 in the Channel League. The Cougars can finish as unbeaten league champions with a win over Santa Barbara on Tuesday at home.

  • Shai Daniels had 11 digs and five kills, Sydney Davis had eight assists and Ashley Sulkowski added five kills for Buena in its 25-18, 25-17, 25-16 loss to Santa Barbara in a Channel League match.

  • Kenadie Kiech finished with five digs, four kills and three aces, Jill Lan had 12 digs, seven kills and two aces, Kripa Shrestha had seven digs, and Giselle Almaraz had 10 assists and nine digs for Rio Mesa in its 25-21, 25-17, 25-9 loss to Dos Pueblos in a Channel League match.

  • Valerie Ibarra had 19 assists, Leilah McDougald had six kills and Jessica Camarillo had 13 digs for Oxnard (10-13, 7-7) in its 25-12, 25-15, 25-22 loss to San Marcos in a Channel League match.

  • Kinsley Gullatt finished with 12 kills and six aces, Grace Hibler had 28 assists and two kills, and Zoe Sercu had six kills and three blocks to lead Villanova Prep to a 25-16, 25-17, 26-24 sweep of Thacher in a Frontier League match.

GIRLS GOLF

  • Ariana Perez was the medalist with a 43 and Kirstianna Clark shot a 48 as Nordhoff finished with a team score of 251 to take first in the fourth Citrus Coast League tournament at par-36 CBC Golf Course. Sofia Manzano shot a 44 for second-place Santa Paula (262). Jamaica Cook shot a 48 for third-place Carpinteria (263). Chloe Loquet shot a 50 for fourth-place Malibu (279). Mary Jean Ventura shot a 55 for fifth-place Hueneme (287). Phoenix Matautia shot a 50 for sixth-place Channel Islands (321). Presley McLain shot a 52 for seventh-place Fillmore (322). After four league matches, Nordhoff is first overall with 28 points, followed by Santa Paula (23), Carpinteria (21), Malibu (13), Hueneme (10), Channel Islands (10), and Fillmore (7).

  • Aidan McCleneghan was the medalist with a 39, Amanda Rozdial shot a 41 and Elizabeth Marez had a 42 to lead Simi Valley (6-6) to a 220-268 win over Royal in a Coastal Canyon League match at par-35 Simi Hills Golf Course.

  • Kat Van Tassell earned medalist honors with a 42 to lead Newbury Park to a 259-266 victory over Agoura in a Marmonte League match at par-35 Sterling Hills Golf Club. Prisha Patel shot a 47 and Sophia Graup had a 50 for the Chargers.

  • Sailor Graham shot an even-par 34 to lead unbeaten Oak Park (13-0) to a 196-199 win over Westlake in a nonleague match at Los Robles Greens Golf Course.

  • Alesia Barry fired a 1-under 36 and Sunny Wang and Ava Aye each shot a 40 for Oaks Christian in its 194-207 loss to Harvard-Westlake in a nonleague match at Balboa Golf Course.

  • St. Bonaventure defeated La Reina 250-302 at Olivas Links Golf Course. Sophia Garry shot a 50 and Sophia Impellizzeri shot a 52 for the Regents.

GIRLS FLAG FOOTBALL

  • Oxnard (11-2) lost to Dos Pueblos 19-8 for just its second defeat of the season.

  • Camarillo defeated Hueneme 40-7.

  • Agoura defeated Thousand Oaks 14-6 to improve to 3-4 on the season.

GIRLS TENNIS

  • Pia Sullivan and Natalie Wang each swept their singles sets, and the doubles teams of Sophia Audish and Emerson Calle and Makena Weisbecker and Allie Moresi each won two sets to lead La Reina to a 12-6 victory over Dunn.

  • Camarillo defeated Royal 14-4 in a Coastal Canyon League match.

  • Calabasas defeated Oaks Christian (6-4, 3-3) 12-6 in a Marmonte League match.

BOYS WATER POLO

  • Camarillo defeated Long Beach Poly 10-7 in a nonleague game.
