Thousands of dollars worth of electronics were stolen from TCU football players’ lockers during a practice last week, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, marking the second similar theft in the area this month.

TCU police released photos of the person of interest in the case, who can be seen on security cameras hanging out for about an hour around the locker room at the Meyer-Martin Athletic Complex on Sept. 11.

The man was later seen leaving the locker room and going straight out of the main doors, according to the report.

“He’d walk into the locker room and if someone came out, he would just turn around and get on his phone,” TCU police detective Mike McCormack told the Star-Telegram. “He was in and out of there in 10 minutes. He knows what he’s doing.”

The man is also a person of interest in a recent case at SMU, where similar items were stolen from the football locker room on Sept. 4, according to the report. SMU is located just 40 miles away from TCU in Dallas.

McCormack said they are unsure if the suspect is a Dallas-Fort Worth area local or if he is targeting multiple schools in the area, though they have notified other area universities.
