Texas Tech basketball to open Big 12 play at Texas; Lady Raiders at Houston
The Big 12 released the 2023-24 conference basketball slate Tuesday and it sees both Texas Tech basketball teams beginning league play on the road.
The Lady Raiders will make its first trip to Houston in Big 12 play on Saturday, Dec. 30. They'll make their home debut Jan. 3 by welcoming rival Texas and then reigning WNIT champion Kansas on Jan. 6.
The Red Raiders start their first journey into Big 12 play under new head coach Grant McCasland by heading to Austin on Jan. 6 to face off with the Texas Longhorns. That rivalry game will be followed by back-to-back home contests against Oklahoma State (Jan. 9) and Kansas State (Jan. 13).

Both Texas Tech teams will close out the regular season at home. The Lady Raiders host Kansas State on March 2 and the Red Raiders host Baylor a week later on March 9.
The Big 12 Championship basketball tournaments will operate differently this year. The women are up first with their tournament set for March 7-12 with the men following March 12-16. Both tournaments will be held in the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
Previously, the men's and women's tournaments were held at the same time.
The Red Raiders also released tip times for the majority of their non-conference games. Their full schedule and the Lady Raiders' Big 12 slate can be found below.
Big 12 Tip-Off media days are set for Oct. 17 (women) and Oct. 18 (men) in Kansas City.
