Texans WR Brandin Cooks questionable vs. Titans with knee injury

HOUSTON — Houston Texans wide receiver Brandin Cooks could miss the final minutes of the 2021 season. According to Texans’ PR staff, Cooks is questionable to return with a knee injury he sustained during the first half of the Texans’ Week 18 match against the Tennessee Titans.

Cooks had recorded 26 yards on three catches at the time of his injury, which would be a season-low if he doesn’t return to the game.

Before Sunday’s game against the Titans, it had been a fairly healthy season for Cooks. The 28-year-old wideout from Oregon State appeared in 16 out of a possible 17 games for the Texans, as Cooks led the team with 1,011 receiving yards on the year.

The lone game Cooks missed during the 2021 campaign took place during the Texans’ 41-29 win over the Los Angeles Chargers in December due to COVID.

With another 1,000 yard season under his belt, Cooks has now reached the feat in six out of his eight seasons in the league.

“It’s been a blessing this season in all aspects,” Cooks said. “Blessed to be able to accomplish that goal but would love to be playing in that postseason. I think that’s a lot more important so just got to get back to work when it is time.”
