Tennessee Titans WR A.J. Brown would give up No. 11 to play alongside Julio Jones

Julio Jones could be on the market this offseason.

And if the Tennessee Titans were to trade for him, A.J. Brown would be willing to let him have No. 11.

The Titans star wide receiver tweeted Wednesday that he'd give up his number to play alongside Jones, his "idol" who has sported No. 11 for his entire career. Jones, one of the best wideouts of his generation, could be traded by the Falcons this offseason due to cap reasons. Atlanta general manager Terry Fontenot said this week that the franchise would listen to trade offer for Jones, as it would for any player.

Brown quote-tweeted a tweet from Pro Football Focus' Fantasy Football page, which shared a graphic of Jones with the Titans' stars at the offensive skill positions – Brown, running back Derrick Henry and quarterback Ryan Tannehill – and posed the question, "Who is stopping this hypothetical Titans offense?"

"I would give up #11 if this happens," Brown tweeted. "Playing alongside my idol would be crazy. No team is stopping this!!!"

The Titans have been in need of a wide receiver this offseason, with the departure of Corey Davis in free agency. Even with the addition of former Rams pass catcher Josh Reynolds, receiver has been viewed as a top need for the Titans in the 2021 NFL draft, which begins Thursday.

On paper, a Brown-Jones pairing on the outside would give Tennessee one of the top wide receiver tandems in the NFL.

Brown, a first-time Pro Bowler in 2020, in two seasons has 2,126 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns on 122 catches.

The 32-year-old Jones, a seven-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro, has 848 receptions for 12,896 yards and 60 touchdowns in 10 seasons with the Falcons.
