Ten prospects who can raise their stock at UA Houston

Marshall Levenson/Rivals

On Sunday, a few hundred prospects from Texas and Louisiana will make their way to to Spring, Texas, to compete in this weekend's Under Armour camp. The camp's roster is a loaded one with a few dozen prospects who hold multiple division one offers expected to be in attendance.

Here are 10 prospects I feel have a great opportunity to raise their stock with strong performances on Sunday.

QB Jake Fette, 2026

I have heard all good things on Jake Fette this offseason, so I am excited to see it in person. Coming from El Paso, there have certainly been more quarterbacks who have been seen by the masses, so this could be big for Fette. There will be an impressive group of quarterbacks in attendance, so the measuring stick will be easy. He already holds offers from Baylor, SMU, Texas Tech, and TCU, but the things I have heard tell me he may be a national recruit to come. He has a smooth stroke and can operate the offense on the move. I’m looking to see him back it up this weekend.

QB Grant Smith, 2026

Smith has been one I have had my eye on for just over a year. From this time last year, he has gone from 170 to 205 pounds on a 6-foot-3 frame. He has some of the best arm strength I have seen in the Houston area over the past year. I am looking for him to stand out among this group when showing off his arm. I would like to see him show his ability to push the ball down the field but also show the decision making and timing when in the 1-on-1 (WR vs. DB) portion of the camp. He holds offers from regional powers Texas A&M, Baylor, TCU, Arkansas, and Texas Tech, among others. A strong performance on Sunday could spread his name to programs outside the mid-south region.

QB Cole Bergeron, 2026

Bergeron is impressive in the 7v7 scene and comes from a prep program, St. Thomas More, that has a history of putting out elite quarterbacks. Bergeron looks to be next in line and this camp will be a good measuring stick of how he compares to other top talents in the region.

WR Jaquise Martin, 2025

One of the most impressive playmakers I have seen in the early months of this year. Martin had as strong of hands as I’ve seen in the 2025 class. His route running was crisp and he made miraculous catches one after the other. Coming from Rudder, Texas, Martin has not been exposed to some of the larger camp opportunities, so I am excited to see how he stacks up against some bonafide elite prospects.

ATH Jermaine Bishop, 2026

A standout on both sides of the ball for Willis, Bishop is currently signed up to compete at wide receiver on Sunday. He can certainly impress those in attendance at wide receiver, but I am hoping we see him get a few reps at cornerback because I think he can be special on the defensive side of the ball. You can’t fault him for wanting to make plays and have the ball in his hand, but I think his future college program may elect to see him on defense. Although, this camp may prove he can get it done at the next level solely on offense.

OT Maddox Huber, 2025

Huber is an intriguing prospect at his size of 6-foot-7, 300 pounds, and he looks like he holds his weight well. I have not seen him in person yet, so I have high hopes for him. He holds offers from Memphis, Army, Navy, and Lamar, but with his frame and size, if he puts on a good showing, he can raise his stock to a new level. I would like to see some more aggression from him and aggressive hands to punch defenders back. If he shows he can do this, I think Huber can be something in the 2025 class.

ILB Taiyion "Tank" King, 2026

I have seen King in private workouts a handful of times in recent weeks. I am looking forward to seeing him in a camp setting and seeing how the measurables come out. I believe once he gets side to side, he will separate himself from an athleticism and skill set standpoint. Based on his film from the first two years of his high school career, King projects as one of the elite prospects from the Houston area. I am looking for King to back up his prior hype and prove he is what we think he is.

ILB Kaleb Burns, 2025

Burns has some of my favorite tape from Texas linebackers in the 2025 cycle. He is instinctual and adaptive on the field and I see some impressive intangibles. The cover skills should be on display this weekend and with some good speed to his game, he should have no problem standing out. I’m also intrigued to see his testing numbers.

DL Carmello Brooks, 2025

Brooks is one that stands out from a measurable standpoint at 6-foot-3, 275 pounds. He plays an aggressive interior style and sheds blocks at a high level. All I want to see from Brooks is a high motor and displace some offensive lineman. He will have the chance to show off some pass rush moves from the interior in this camp, and I have a feeling he may dominate. If his measurables and workout are on equal footing, Brooks will be one I’m sold on.

DB Jason Stokes Jr., 2025

Stokes caught my eye with a reported 6-foot-3, 185 pound frame in the secondary. On tape, he is very comfortable in coverage and shows a nice ability to interrupt routes and take good angles to shut down passing lanes. He flashes some speed, which I hope translates this weekend. He won’t be able to show off his tackling ability, but it is something that stands out in his game. If he measures in at 6-foot-3 and defends some passes in the live portion, I see his stock going up.
