Teddy Bridgewater selected to Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame

Former NFL player and University of Louisville athlete Teddy Bridgewater has been selected for the Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame, the Louisville Sports Commission announced during Champions Day events at Churchill Downs on Wednesday.

Bridgewater the University of Lousiville football team to a 2013 victory over the Florida Gators at the Sugar Bowl before going on to the NFL. He was drafted in the first round of the 2014 NFL draft by the Minnesota Vikings and played for other teams including the New Orleans Saints, Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos.

Bridgewater is one of four individuals selected for the Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2024, with Tony Delk, Oscar Combs, and Roy Pickerill set to join him.

The class was selected by a committee comprised of 16 sports media professionals from throughout the Commonwealth and the Bygone Era Selection Team. Class members and families will be honored in September 2024 in Freedom Hall in Louisville.
