TCU football at Iowa State Cyclones: Kickoff time, TV, betting line, radio, prediction

TCU interim coach Jerry Kill doesn’t want his team overlooking Brock Purdy and Iowa State’s offense. Kill also knows how tough it is for an offense to have success against defensive coordinator Jon Heacock and his multiple scheme approach with the Cyclones.

TCU will have its work cut out in order to become bowl eligible, to say the least, but Kill’s message to the team is simple going into the regular-season finale.

“Alignment is important, assignment is important, playing hard is important,” Kill said, “but the most important thing is having fun doing it.”

Yes, TCU is playing with a “nothing to lose” mentality. With longtime coach Gary Patterson and the school parting ways on Oct. 31, the Frogs are somewhat surprisingly playing for something in the regular-season finale.

They have rallied behind Kill to win two of the last three games with a chance for a bowl berth today in Ames.

With that being said, here’s everything you need to know going into it:

PREDICTION

Drama hasn’t been lacking for TCU football this season. The Horned Frogs saw longtime coach Gary Patterson depart during the middle of the season. They’ve had highs on the field such as upsetting then-No. 12 Baylor, and lows such as the the program’s worst loss since 1993 at Oklahoma State. In the end, TCU has a chance to go bowling but it’ll fall short against an Iowa State team that is better than its 6-5 record suggests. Iowa State 34, TCU 24.
