Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New Orleans Saints: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 4 game
The New Orleans Saints (2-1) host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-1) in an NFC South matchup that features both teams coming off their first losses of the season.
A major question is the health of quarterback Derek Carr, who suffered a shoulder injury that took him out of the Saints loss to the Green Bay Packers last week. Jameis Winston filled in for Carr when he went down and would be expected to get the start should Carr's injury prevent him from playing.
The Saints have had a thin running back room. This week is the first time the Saints will have Pro Bowler Alvin Kamara back after he served a suspension for a fight in Las Vegas.
Baker Mayfield has filled in after Tom Brady retired and led Tampa Bay to a 2-0 start. He's been 62-of-93 for 636 yards with four touchdowns. He threw his first and only interception against the Philadelphia Eagles in their Week 3 loss. It was also the first Buccaneers' turnover of the season.
Mike Evans is seventh in the NFL with 297 reception yard and has three touchdowns.
Last season, the Buccaneers won both division matchups behind Brady. New Orleans had Winston and Andy Dalton split the starts with Mark Ingram handling most of the rushing duties.

Lorenzo Reyes: Buccaneers 22, Saints 21
It’s not that Jameis Winston played poorly in relief of Derek Carr, it’s that the offense as a whole stagnated. With Carr almost certainly slated to miss some time, I like the Buccaneers in a bounce-back here, especially since they faced a tough Eagles outfit in Week 3 and even more since Tampa left points on the field via a bad drop in the end zone by Mike Evans.
Tyler Dragon: Saints 21, Buccaneers 20
Jameis Winston will likely get to start against his former team since Derek Carr is nursing a shoulder injury. Expect the Saints to rally behind Winston and help him get revenge against his former team. Plus, Alvin Kamara returns from a three-game suspension this week.
Victoria Hernandez: Buccaneers 20, Saints 19
Both teams haven't had the greatest strength of schedule so far and their wins have come against mediocre-to-bad opponents. This one's basically going off gut that Tampa Bay made mistakes against a decent Eagles team last week that they can correct while Derek Carr's health is a major question mark.
Jordan Mendoza: Buccaneers 18, Saints 16
Alvin Kamara is back from his suspension and he comes at a time where his team needs him after an epic collapse against the Packers. But the Saints offense gets clamped down by the Buccaneers defense in a low scoring game.
