Suspended Marshawn Lynch getting reps with his old high school team

For most players, being suspended means they can’t spend time with their team for the duration of their punishment, whether it’s a week or a month or longer.

So how they spend that time away takes different forms.

This week, Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch, who received a one-week suspension after last Thursday’s game when he made contact with an official and had it upheld on appeal, was upheld on appeal, went back to high school.

Via a video posted to his Instagram account, Lynch practiced with the Oakland Tech High Bulldogs, the school where he was a prep star in the early 2000s.

Wearing his Raiders helmet and practice jersey, the 31-year-old Lynch, as you’d expect, does well against the high schoolers, though at one point one of the defensive linemen seems like he takes great pleasure in wrestling Lynch down to the ground and then pushes his helmet down for good measure.

Lynch, who came out of retirement earlier this year to join his hometown NFL team, can rejoin the Raiders on Monday.

The scene will likely end up in a coming episode of “No Script,” the reality show of Lynch’s like currently airing on Facebook.
