Strawberry hospitalized, but FCA banquet still on for Thursday
Mar. 12—MOULTRIE — Darryl Strawberry, Colquitt County's Fellowship of Christian Athletes guest speaker for the March 14 banquet, will not be attending.
The Associated Press and ESPN reported Tuesday morning that Strawberry is recovering from a heart attack, which he suffered Monday.
Strawberry posted a picture to Instagram Monday from a Missouri hospital.
"Praising God for His amazing grace and loving mercy in saving my life this evening from a heart attack," Strawberry said on Instagram.
Though Strawberry won't be able to attend, the Colquitt County FCA announced the banquet is still on for Thursday.
