Steph Curry wins celebrity golf tournament with eagle on 18th hole in Lake Tahoe

The day after making a hole-in-one, Steph Curry made yet another memorable shot, followed by yet another wild celebration.

On Sunday, the Golden State Warriors star sunk a long eagle putt on the 18th hole to win the 2023 American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament at Lake Tahoe in Nevada.

Then came more fun, with Curry tossing his golf hat into the air, racing off the green and embracing his wife, Ayesha.

With the putt, Curry overtook retired tennis pro Mardy Fish for the victory and ignited the crowd.

“MVP, MVP,’’ spectators chanted.

The eagle putt came a day after Curry made a hole-in-one on the 52-yard No. 7 hole at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course and celebrated memorably.

He won the 54-hole tournament with 75 points while Fish finished with 73 in the Modified Stableford scoring system, which awarded points and deducted points for performance on each hole.

The hole-in-one earned Curry eight points and the eagle earned him six points as Curry became the first active athlete to win the ACC since the NFL's Al Del Greco in 2000.

Joe Pavelski finished third with 66 points, three-time champion Mark Mulder was fourth with 59 and Aaron Rodgers finished fifth with 56.

Rodgers, now the New York Jets quarterback, had his best finish at Edgewood. He had four birdies on the back nine Sunday.

"I'm excited to finish in the top five and be the top active football player," Rodgers said. "There's some really good players on the board. And I'm not one of them. Watch me on the range, you'd be surprised I'm scoring this much. But I am pretty crafty, and I got a few shots in the bag. And I'm damn competitive.

"I love this event. I love coming back here. And proud of Steph the way he's playing. Steph and Mardy are good friends of mine."

Curry’s father, Dell, finished 11th and his brother, Seth, finished tied for 46th.
